Well, seed planting has started for 2014, got some Roma Tomatoes and Cucumbers in the little green house.
and of course my potatoes have been in for a week now..
my custom-made potato growing things!!!
Basically a milk create with shade cloth and stakes.
The idea is, when the potatoes start growing, i mound them up and as they get big, i tie string around the poles to contain the growth. This way i can plant them in a row and walk around them!!!
Once the potatoes are ready, i simply lift the create and tip them out, no more little potatoes getting away and growing!!!
So now I’m just waiting for the warmer weather to fully plant both beds out…
I have my mud map with where crops are going, the irrigation setup is fully running waiting to be put into use and all the beds are ready to go. Have added compost and chicken manure pellets……
